Glossy Ibis Adult Breeding
Unusual encounter with this Glossy Ibis in ND. Note dull legs & horn-colored, brownish bill. Sibley Guide to Birds doesn't even have North Dakota marked for rare occurances of this species. Fortunate to watch it for 1/2 hr. By Melissa Balkowitsch
Taken: 2009-05-24 Between Heckers Lake and East Park Lake, near New Johns Lake. If accepted, this would be North Dakota's first.
